Bleeding in the First Trimester

  • Spotting after intercourse, vaginal exam or vaginal ultrasound is common and can be monitored as long as it’s not getting heavier.
  • Bleeding with cramping can be a warning sign of miscarriage, call the office.
  • If you have any bleeding or spotting and you know your blood type is Rh negative, please call the office. You may require a shot.
